After reviewing books for another blog for almost a year, I decided to take the plunge and go off on my own to share my love of books with you in May 2014, so thanks for finding me! I live in New England with my hubby and 4 legged child otherwise known as my black Lab. I reside in the world of cubicles during the day to pay the bills and read as much as I can in my spare time.
I have a ton of favorite authors including Kristen Ashley, Laurel Ulen Curtis, Katie Ashley, Kylie Scott, Michelle A. Valentine, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Kate McCarthy, Tina Reber, Harper Sloan, Nicole Edwards, Kristen Proby, Julie Ann Walker, Joanna Wylde, Jessica Sorensen, Mia Sheridan, Colleen Hoover, Tessa Teevan, Sawyer Bennett… I could go on for a bit and new authors are constantly being added, but I think you get the idea!
I will read pretty much anything romance related, but you won’t likely see me reviewing a few very specific niches in the genre. I have lost interest in the glut of all things stepbrother related, anything with “billionaire” in the title, and I am very selective in the MC books that I will pick up. Then again, if a particular blurb catches my eye, I may just make an exception- you never know!
I have to have music playing at all times, and Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Metallica, Pantera, Three Days Grace and Sevendust are in constant rotation along with almost anything you will hear on SiriusXM’s Octane. Every now and then I have to go old school with some 80s and 90s hair bands too but don’t tell, OK?

Anything less than 3 stars is usually a DNF for me and will not be rated.
3 stars– It was just OK. I found myself skimming through parts to get to the end.
3.5 stars– I liked it but it felt like something was missing
4 stars– Great book, I will read more from this author in the future
4.5 stars– I loved it! This book made me feel and had characters I really connected with
5 stars– this book rocked my world and left me with a book hangover! I probably lost sleep over it and adored the characters.
For the first 6 months of 2015, reviews included commentary regarding my thoughts on each book, but star ratings were not used during this time. I feel that ratings are very subjective, and the most important part of the review should be what I liked, what I didn’t, and what the book made me feel. Each of you can then form your own conclusions regarding a rating based on the comments. However, after testing it and listening to feedback, I switched back to star ratings in July 2015. Reviews posted from January to June will have tags reflecting the star rating assigned.
